Description
Jambo,Feel so privileged as I welcome you to join my family and I in Nakuru to volunteer with me and help in fighting against poverty through sustainable Agriculture and community development program to eradicate physical poverty, social struggles and health related problems to enable them become responsible and fulfilled adults.
Who is this?
She is just 23 years,A devoted, bold and a village girl, who is raised in the poor family, in Nakuru - Kabazi . She is a first born Daughter of Matahe together with other 7 brothers and 2 sisters .I'm Marion.
Im a social worker who got the opportunity through sponsorship to finish my college Education and through the help I got I felt I should also give back to community.Having the opportunity as a host in Nakuru has given me more interest to help families from different backgrounds and hence to be a social worker is more than just a profession for me,
I find Joy in helping others, live happy and escape early childhood trauma and improve their life.Happiness is real when shared!
Being the fact I was brought up in a poor background, poverty whether extreme, moderate or relative remains a threat to the existence of humanity. Growing up in a family where parents struggle daily for our Survival for basic needs , Education and medical care has made me to come with strategic ways that would help to improve their situation.
Joining me would be a good opportunity to BELIEVE, HOPE AND DREAM AGAIN.
We are embarked on Community development programs such as:
*Water Sanitation and Hygiene
*Sustainable Agriculture
*Hunger Health
*Child support development program for highly vulnerable children
∆ Water Sanitation and Hygiene
Health is the most paramount to every human kind ,it makes you live normally, access to clean water program will promote reduction of incidences of water borne disease among ourselves and community at large .
∆Sustainable Agriculture
Everyone understands what hunger and poverty can do,We are engaging the community with the income generating projects to help children to escape hunger .
We're embarked on improving our farming skills and through this we're having other initiatives such as
#Value Addition
- We need to add value to our crop and animal production by making compost manure, silage and planting quality crops.
#Increase production
- By doing crop rotation and being busy on our farm and planting different vegetables.
- By giving our animals the right nutrients for more production .
For our community, we're embarking on other programs such as...
#Feeding programs
- By producing safe and sufficient foods will be able to have a feeding program for highly vulnerable children. I'm focusing on ensuring that vulnerable children are rescued and supported to be able to achieve stability, this will be successful through your ongoing support.
#Health Promotion
- Best achieved through Health Education!
- I'm focusing on health education that enables individuals within the community to be more aware of how to prevent diseases. By learning the right methodology of growing food using organic manure they will have the opportunity will lead a full normal life, physically, mentally and socially.
∆ EDUCATION
Education continues to be a strategic area for this program, sponsoring a child would keep a child in school and help them to reach their dreams.

Coming to Nakuru would be one of the most amazing experiences here in Kenya. Volunteers will develop a chance of growing different crops, taste and prepare meals such as meals, mokimo, bananas and Githeri..
During our free time and break time will be a good chance for a language exchange (Swahili) and through this, we create room for interaction and bonding...
Moreover, you'll get to know how we live through different hiking places and this will be a life-changing experience for our helpers.
Living with us will make you see Africa from a different perspective and our way of living..t his opportunity will give you a taste of real Kenyan culture and you won't regret having chosen us.

IT'S JUST A KIND REQUEST ,TO WHOEVER UNDERSTANDS WHAT HUNGER AND POVERTY IS CAPABLE OF.
#Fundraising Awareness
- To increase operational excellence, we need help in fundraising and grants. We do a lot of work every day on our community but financial constraints remain the biggest challenge.
- We would truly appreciate the help of a volunteer who could come up with financing ideas for us to make money for this project.
